  • Greetings

The society starting as the Japanese Society of Reticuloendothelial System under the presidency of Prof. Kaneyoshi Akazaki in 1961, changed the name as the Japanese Society for Lymphoreticular Tissue Research in 1997.

The society aims to research on fundamental and clinical problems of hematopoiesis, red blood cells, lymphocytes, phagocytes, dendritic cells, immunobiology and pathophysiology of the hematolymphoid system, hematological malignancies, and transplantation. The society gives the keynote to the fusion of fundamental and clinical medicine. Participants are composed mainly of the researchers of malignant lymphoma but researchers of macrophages, dendritic cells, reticular cells, and endothelial cells also join in the society.

I believe that the society activity will successively present new world-wide outcome, and the fusion of fundamental and clinical medicine will produce young distinguished researchers, new strategic idea and the linking of researchers. Finally, its achieving success will greatly contribute to the health and welfare of the community.
